Twenty-four Days of Gifts

17th November 2017

Chocolate advent calendars are sooo last year… Now the market’s full of the most tantalising alternative daily treats, from sherry to shortbread, and truffles to tea. But who needs even more calorie-laden goodies? How about opening that beguiling door to something more nurturing or restorative that will help you to look and feel your very best during the party season…

…Step forward beauty advent calendars – the most delightfully indulgent and guilt-free way to put a spring in your step throughout December

Make no mistake, these beauty advent calendars are the ultimate in self-indulgence. But at a time when we’re so busy shopping for others, why not allow ourselves the joy of a little daily treat, and all the attendant magic fairy dust this will sprinkle on our everyday lives?

Plus we can tell ourselves that there are some pretty good reasons why we should; nay, why we need to buy one. It’s actually a pretty cost-effective way of trying out different products from our favourite beauty brands, as the combined value of goodies inside these seductive boxes – which are a mix of sample and full-size products – is often worth way over the price tag. Secondly, we’re saving ourselves from expensive mistakes by trying out these beauty edits. And lastly, if you’re guilty of buying the same old perfume or mascara each year for your mum or sister, you’ll be amazed at the amount of gift inspiration a set like this will bring. (Convinced? Well, I didn’t think it would take much.)

But the dilemma… Do we buy one for ourselves? Or leave broad hints for someone else to buy it for us, thus risking the chance of finding less under the tree on the big day itself? Either way, the chances are we’ll be so blissed-out by the extravagance of the days leading up to Christmas that we won’t even notice!
