Quainton Hall School & Nursery

…a long and distinguished history…

Quainton Hall School & Nursery, (www.quaintonhall.org.uk) founded in central Harrow in 1897, has had only four Heads in its long and distinguished history. It is now an IAPS day preparatory school for children aged 21/2 to 13 years offering a very wide range of academic, sporting and extra-curricular opportunity.

Three years ago the highly-regarded and well-established co-educational Radnor Avenue Pre-School was acquired from its retiring owner, thus enabling Quainton Hall to offer Nursery education in addition to its extensive educational provision from the Reception Year onwards. Following the change of ownership, the Nursery was inspected by OFSTED and received a glowing report, which can be seen on-line.

Since September 2006, our Reception Class has been co-educational and Years 1 and 2 will become so over the succeeding two years. Girls will be prepared for transfer at 7+, while our boys will continue to work towards 13+, when, following careful discussion with parents, they move on to an impressively wide range of leading senior schools, both boarding and day (and including such favourites as Merchant Taylors’ and Harrow) in North West London and beyond.
